54-46 Was My Number... 54-46 era il mio numero: quello della divisa carceraria. In questo modo Toots Hibbert, il cantante dei Toots & The Maytals racconta la sua disavventura con la polizia, che l'ha "incastrato" (a suo dire) con dell'hashish. Erano gli anni 60 in Giamaica, quando questo avvenne, e le droghe leggere non erano ancora depenalizzate. In prigione Toots Hibbert scrisse questa song, che sarà uno dei brani precursori del reggae ed è anche uno degli anthem skinhead reggae molto amato dai rude boys.
